Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN) is the Democrats’ star figure right now for all things family and local interest-related. He is less media-shy than his co-campaigner, Vice President Kamala Harris, but that does not mean he cares more about an informed public.

The Democratic Party base refers to him as “Coach Walz,” even tying him to famous Friday Night Lights football coach Eric Taylor, they laud him as a sort of infertility champion, and they afford lengthy sentences to his image of jolly fatherliness.
