Embattled Sen. Mark Pryor, D-Ark., faced off in a debate this week against his Republican challenger, Rep. Tom Cotton, R-Ark.
Cotton has run an aggressive campaign, making it a point to tie the Pryor to President Obama — a man who polls very poorly in the Natural State — at every opportunity.
As part of his ongoing effort to associate Pryor with Obama, Cotton made sure Monday to remind voters that the Democratic incumbent and the commander in chief have an awful lot in common.
And remind them. And remind them. And remind them.
Cotton has taken a seven-point lead over Pryor, according to a Fox News survey.
Cotton leads 46 percent to 39 percent, according to the report, and it appears that much of his support comes from self-described independent voters.
