Sunday was the ‘Super Bowl’ of elites ignoring mask mandates

You would never know it by watching the celebrities at the Super Bowl, but everybody at that game was supposed to be wearing a mask while in attendance.

Despite these rules, none of the important people at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, was wearing a mask. It is just the latest in a long string of public displays of hypocrisy, by which the elite preach one thing for the common folk to do but have a different set of rules for themselves. It is the umpteenth version of “masks for thee, but not for me” during the pandemic.

Inglewood is located in Los Angeles County, whose rules hold that “everyone, regardless of vaccination status, must wear a mask” during several types of events, of which the Super Bowl was one. Not only was everyone in attendance at the Super Bowl over age 2 required to wear a mask, but every person who entered SoFi Stadium was in fact given a KN95 mask.

But video showed nearly everyone who was there, especially the celebrities, including NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, going without masks at all times, not just when they were eating.

Two weeks ago, the very hypocritical Democratic politicians who imposed these rules — Gov. Gavin Newsom and Mayor Eric Garcetti — were maskless along with celebrities in the same location.

Just imagine if this had been a Trump rally or a trucker convoy. Every politician and expert would have been rushing to condemn the maskless in attendance.

This is the reason there is polarization in this country. It is not because of misinformation or Joe Rogan. It is because of the hypocritical acts of the affluent and powerful class in the country. They face no consequences or accountability. Their silence speaks volumes. Moreover, their arrogance is insulting. Ultimately, if the wealthy and powerful do not have to wear masks at all, then no one should have to wear masks.
