President Joe Biden allowed more than 5 million illegal immigrants to invade our country in just four years. President Donald Trump was elected not just to restore order to the southern border that Biden eviscerated, but also to reverse this occupation.
Unfortunately, many Democrats are now doing everything in their power to keep these illegal immigrants in the United States, including harassing and intimidating law enforcement officers and their families.
In addition to blocking Immigration and Customs Enforcement processing center driveways, ramming ICE vehicles, and slashing ICE tires, Democratic Party activists have also taken to forming communities on social media platforms for the express purpose of doxing them, in other words, personally identifying individual ICE agents and publicizing where their families live, so that their families can be harassed and terrorized at home.
Attorney General Pam Bondi has directed the Department of Justice to actively search for these communities so that the owners of the social media platforms can take them down. All major social media platforms have existing policies that forbid doxing. Specifically, Facebook promises it will remove all “content that shares, offers, or solicits personally identifiable information or other private information that could lead to physical or financial harm.”
Pursuant to this policy, Bondi recently asked Facebook to take down a specific Facebook group that was being used to dox ICE agents in Chicago.
Some in the left-wing media had the audacity to compare this common-sense safety measure to censorship. “Amazing,” Sam Stein of The Bulwark posted on X. “When the Biden adm reached out to Facebook to take down pages filled with Covid disinformation it caused Zuckerberg to decry a full assault on free speech in America. Now, the Trump adm reaches out to remove ICE information and Facebook complies.”
The comparison between removing a group page for doxing law enforcement agents and removing posts about COVID-19 is beyond ridiculous. Posting the personal information of law enforcement officers is not intended to cause reasoned dialogue. It is designed to enable violence against those identified. Posting information questioning the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s completely made-up six-foot distancing rule, or making the case that COVID-19 was accidentally released from a lab in China, are ideas that should be debated.
THE CLOSING OF THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY MIND
Now, if people on Facebook are naming individuals who work for the CDC and posting their home addresses, then by all means, those group pages should be deleted. But that is not what the Biden administration was doing during COVID. They were asking Facebook to take down any page that dared to question Biden’s public policy on COVID. That is exactly the type of speech that the First Amendment was created to protect.
That so many on the Left can’t tell the difference between legitimate debate about immigration policy and the doxing and endangerment of federal law enforcement officers is a big reason why voters no longer trust the Democratic Party on the issue.
