We don’t have a border, and everyone south of the U.S. has figured it out.
Yes, there’s a theoretical boundary, but there’s no one there to enforce it. All of the border agents are now babysitters and caretakers, whose services are free of charge to anyone who wants to come into the country and understands how to say “asylum.” They don’t even have to say it in English.
NBC News reported Tuesday that apprehensions of illegal aliens “surpassed daily averages not seen since fiscal year 2006.” So much for the Democratic talking point about illegal immigration flows being at historic lows.
The report went on to note that U.S. policy no longer prioritizes ensuring that unknown people aren’t slipping into the country. It is now about providing beds and healthcare for the steady flow of Mexicans and Central Americans taking advantage of the welcome mat at our border called “asylum.”
“The Department of Health and Human Services has requested [Department of Defense] support for bed space for up to 5,000 children,” said NBC, adding that the Department of Homeland Security is “working on a plan that would allow defense funds and personnel to be used in transporting immigrants in need of medical transport.”
That’s three whole federal agencies grappling with the nonexistent border. No crisis here, folks! No national emergency here!
President Trump’s supporters now have to be told that no amount of wall, no matter how tall or thick, will stop the insanity. Only a complete shutdown of the asylum loophole will end the unabated flow of migrants from poverty-stricken, gang-ridden countries from trekking their way to the U.S., and Trump has said almost nothing about it.
