Today’s bright bulb ? Schools for slots

The University System of Maryland Board of Regents decided Friday to support bringing slots to the state. The board said it needs slot money to offset the impact of a sliding economy on its schools. Who can argue with that? With such huge budget deficits in the state, the money has to come from somewhere, and slots could bring in $250 million annually that now probably is going to surrounding states.
