Alec Baldwin was always trash

So, Alec Baldwin punched a stranger in the face for parking in a West Village spot he wanted, if the current reporting is correct. According to Page Six, an “unidentified third party” was attempting to save the East 10th Street parking spot for Baldwin when the stranger parked his car there. The 49-year-old victim has to be taken to Lenox Hill for medical evaluation, according to an NYPD email sent to the Washington Examiner.

If you’re shocked by this, I hate to break it to you, but Alec Baldwin was and has always been trash.

I don’t care if you think his milquetoast (at best) impression of the president is great fodder for the #Resistance or if you thought he was okay on “30 Rock.” Baldwin’s just bad, period.

In 1992, Baldwin called a horse-drawn carriage driver who was advocating for expanding rides outside of Central Park a “faggot.”

In 2007, when Baldwin engaged in one of Hollywood’s worst custody battles with ex-wife Kim Basinger, Baldwin called his 11 year-old daughter, Ireland — who would later head to rehab for “emotional trauma” among other issues — “a rude, thoughtless little pig” who didn’t have “the brains or the decency as a human being” in a voicemail. He also threatened to fly to New York to “straighten her ass out.”

In 2011, Baldwin was kicked off a flight for refusing to quit playing the game “Words with Friends” and having a tantrum thereafter.

In 2012, Baldwin punched a New York Daily News photographer in Lower Manhattan. The next year, Baldwin chased down a photographer in New York, screaming and calling him a “cock sucking fag.”

Also in 2013, he smacked a camera out of a photographer’s hand, threatening him, “you don’t want to get hurt, do ya?” Still in the same year — man, was this guy busy — Baldwin threatened reporter Tara Palmeri, telling her “I want you to choke to death.”

In 2014, Baldwin was pulled over for biking the wrong way on the streets of Manhattan and subsequently arrested for disorderly conduct after having a meltdown.

In other words, punching some random guy for refusing to abide by your privileged presumption that you can just save parking spots in the busiest city in the country is just vintage Alec Baldwin. It’s incredible that Baldwin is still regarded as a political and moral authority by half of Hollywood.

Alec Baldwin was always terrible. Find another hero.
