Some people at Fox News act like they’ve bowled a strike whenever they point out that the Biden administration is scrambling to keep up with the immense numbers of migrants dumping themselves into the custody of the U.S. Border Patrol.
But here’s the thing: President Biden and Democrats don’t see this as a crisis at all. It’s hardly even a problem.
In fact, to the extent that they see a problem at all, it’s not that the border is being overrun by Latin America’s desperate and destitute. It’s that we can’t take them in fast enough.
This is no secret — it’s what they’re saying on national television.
“I’ve been in many meetings with the president where he asks how can this be faster?” White House press secretary Jen Psaki said on MSNBC this week. “How many teachers do they have access to? Do we have enough health and medical experts?”
She also said they were taking in as many migrant children as possible because “this administration did not feel that it was humane or moral” to send them back to the countries they came from. “What we are trying to do,” she said, “is move kids as quickly as possible through the border patrol facilities into shelters so that they can gain access to all of those resources I said, and then quickly move them into sponsor homes or connect them with family members.”
The administration is aware that there simply aren’t enough taxpayer-funded resources to house, clothe, and feed everyone who throws themselves into our care, but they have a solution — turn the overflow loose into the United States. Biden is actively flying illegal immigrants who had been deported back to the U.S. to reunite them with their children here.
This was always the end goal — to allow anyone and everyone in, no questions asked.
