It’s safe to say that the 2012 tragedy in Benghazi will haunt Hillary Clinton forever. It plagued her entire 2016 presidential bid and left many voters unable to trust her. Both Benghazi and the Comey Letter were in the news this past week, but Clinton only acknowledged one of them.

Oct. 28th was the anniversary of the October Surprise Bombshell. Former FBI Director James Comey made the controversial decision to publish a letter he wrote about the investigation into Clinton’s emails, and support for Clinton’s campaign crashed.
There was nothing wrong with HRC making fun of the anniversary. I’m not a fan of Clinton, but I always appreciate a well-timed sarcastic tweet. The problem comes when Clinton remained silent about the latest development in the Benghazi situation.
Monday, amidst the wild indictment news, the White House announced that Mustafa al-Imam was captured, and “will face justice in the United States for his alleged role in the September 11, 2012 attacks in Benghazi…”

Maybe Clinton didn’t hear the news. Maybe she thought that making a joke about the Comey incident was safer than opening the painful issue of her role in the Benghazi attack. We currently have no way of knowing.
What is certain is that it has been more than 48 hours, and Clinton has not yet made a statement of support for the capture, her stance on tracking down the attackers, or in honor of the fallen Americans. But, hey, at least she can laugh at herself.
