Sacramento shooting suspects were repeat criminals prohibited from having guns

Two suspects in custody for the deadly shooting in Sacramento, California, have lengthy criminal histories. But Democrats don’t care about that: Naturally, they think the only lesson here is in favor of more gun control.

The two suspects who are believed to be responsible for the shooting are brothers: Dandrae Martin and Smiley Martin. Dandrae Martin has an outstanding warrant for a misdemeanor domestic violence charge and has been wanted in Riverside County, California, since 2015. In 2014, he pleaded guilty after he “inflicted bodily injury resulting in a traumatic condition” to his spouse. He was jailed in Arizona for violating parole after attempting to commit aggravated assault and was released in 2020 after a year and a half.
