Hollywood may be a bubble, but Barbra Streisand is living in an alternate universe.
In an interview with Variety, the acclaimed actress, a longtime Democratic donor and activist, revealed she’s convinced Hillary Clinton actually defeated President Trump in 2016.
“I really believe she won the election,” Streisand said. “I’ve talked to senators from Michigan and Wisconsin. I do believe, like I believed during Bush, they were playing with those voter machines. And [Al Gore] lost by 537 votes out of 104 million.”
Have senators from Michigan and Wisconsin been privately intimating to Barbara Streisand that someone was “playing” with their “voter machines?” Given that Sen. Ron Johnson of Wisconsin is a Republican, the options are pretty much limited to Sen. Tammy Baldwin, D-Wis., and Michigan Democrat Sens. Debbie Stabenow, and Gary Peters. Streisand donated to Baldwin in 2012.
Far more likely, of course, is the possibility that Streisand herself is making some sort of Herculean stretch.
So, we’ll go with that. At least until evidence surfaces to suggest Democratic senators, desperate for impeachment, are hiding from the public information that undermines the legitimacy of the election, yet casually dishing it out to the star of “Meet the Fockers” in private conversations.
