Two of you wrote that the infield at Preakness is like a “Roman orgy.” Perhaps this activity should be so posted, promoted and advertised for those whom we might attract from out of town who would prefer to buy a ticket to watch horses race from another vantage point. It also might promote increased attendance for those who would like to hit the “orgy,” but didn?t realize that was an opportunity and are ready to pony up the $50 to attend.
A better way to raise a lot more money for the track and maintain the wonderful Maryland tradition of horse racing, of course, is for our legislators (remember them?) to legalize slot machines.
