California’s new sex ed program is legalized lewd conduct

There are times when the cultural divide between traditionalists and the misnamed “progressives” is so severe that it’s probably useless even to try to convince the latter of the rank inappropriateness of their ways. Unfortunately, children are involved, so the effort is required.

Such is the case with the near-atrocities being perpetrated upon California children due to the state’s 2015 sex education law. The worst report is that several schools have sponsored “condom races” in which 10- and 11-year-old girls compete to see who can be fastest at placing a prophylactic on an anatomically correct model of a male organ. Plus, according to the leader of a concerned parents group, pupils as young as 11 are being taught to experiment with oral and anal sex with their “partners.”

If you don’t understand why these things are hideously wrong — if you are not repulsed by it — you’re hopeless. The hypersexualization of students at such young ages is nothing short of child abuse. Adults who engage in such “instruction” of children should not be able to hide behind the idea that it is educational. They belong in jail.

Outside of a school setting, this very same conduct would verge upon or cross the line of lewd conduct with a minor. In other states with more traditional sensibilities, it might actually trigger prosecution. And rightly so.

Moreover, reports the Christian Post, “The new guidance for public and charter schools statewide is the first in the nation to require that students be taught lessons on transgender topics starting in pre-K and kindergarten. While parents can opt their children out of sex ed lessons on sexual health, they cannot take their children out of class when lessons are being taught about gender fluidity and same-sex marriage.”

If parents want to teach their children about “gender fluidity” at an age that young, that’s not a matter in which the state should interfere. Some of us would think they were bad parents, but that’s immaterial. But if someone outside the home presumes to sexualize children in such fashion, that’s just obscene. It is even worse that this “instruction” comes with the imprimatur of the state, in effect, at the point of a gun.

If school officials are asking 10-year-old girls, with boys watching, to race to unroll condoms, and telling 11-year-olds about the supposed joys of oral sex, the world has gone mad. The purveyors of such perverse madness should not be allowed to get away with it.
