THE DAILY OUTRAGE: Coloring book contests are in the national interest

WHO: U.S. Postal Service

WHAT: Due to a decrease in mail volume, USPS attempted to cut costs by eliminating drivers. But because of an agreement with their union, some drivers couldn’t be fired, transferred or demoted for at least five days. So they spent a full week making $20.58-$26.34 per hour to nap, play cards and hold a coloring book contest.

WHY IT’S AN OUTRAGE: Perhaps these guys missed their calling as kindergarten teachers. Or better yet, adult kindergartners.

WHERE TO VENT: Call the USPS Inspector General at 888-877-7644.
