Does it reflect the insanity of this awful news day? Does it reflect the depressingly low expectations we have of members of Congress? Does it reflect possible weakness of the case?
Whatever the answer, the question is worth answering: How can a member of Congress — the ranking member of the Veterans’ Affairs Committee, in fact — face indictment and it get zero coverage in the New York Times?
Florida outlets, including News 4 Jacksonville, First Coast News and the Orlando Sentinel are all carrying the story that federal law enforcement officials say a grand jury has voted to indict Rep. Corrine Brown, D-Fla., on corruption charges. (Kelly Cohen of the Washington Examiner has details here.) A search of the Times’ website at 10 a.m. had zero stories on the matter.
