The Pennsylvania March for Life held its second annual rally on Sept. 19 at the Pennsylvania Capitol to celebrate the right to life of human children both before and after birth. An estimated 5,000 people participated in the event, which is believed to be the first of its kind since the landmark Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization Supreme Court decision that held that the Constitution does not guarantee a right to abortion.
However, while any celebration of a right to life is clearly a joyous occasion, not everyone saw it that way. One such person was Democratic Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf.
“Forced-birth advocates are descending on Harrisburg today for the ‘March for Life,'” Wolf tweeted at the time. “This is the loud minority. Most Pennsylvanians want their reproductive rights to be protected. I’ll veto any anti-choice bills that come my way.”

So apparently, men can have opinions on abortion so long as those opinions align with fetus-killing, life-ending left-wing politics.
Imagine the lunacy of the linguistic gymnastics it took to come up with the phrase “forced-birth advocates.” It is indicative of the toxic, radical propaganda the Left uses to try to avoid dealing with the issue. They want to kill babies. That’s a hard position to defend.
Yet while Democrats, liberals, and left-wingers everywhere typically perpetuate the myth that the pro-life movement is based on patriarchal dominance and controlling women, the Pennsylvania March for Life showed otherwise. A majority of the rally’s speakers, attendees, and organizers were … women. And despite the Left’s claims to the contrary, the truth is that many, if not the majority, who support the pro-life movement are indeed women.
Christine Dawson is one of those women.
“Women deserve a better solution than abortion,” she told me.
Dawson was at the march to “uphold the Christian moral standard” and “support the values of the right to life.” She’s the Pennsylvania representative for TPUSA Faith and helped organize transportation for people to attend from different parts of the state. Like many women, she takes supporting a baby’s right to life as very important, personal, and serious.
“Personally, I have been passionate about the sanctity of life for a while,” Dawson said. “As a Christian and female, it’s an issue near and dear to my heart. I always wanted to go to a march for life, and this was my first one. It was good energy and good to see a large turnout.”
Leftists who typically argue in favor of abortion say women should have the right to choose abortion. What they fail to acknowledge is that all abortions could be avoided by simply avoiding risky and careless sexual behavior. Only since Dobbs has it become clear from the Left’s rhetoric the extent to which abortion was relied on by irresponsible people as a form of birth control. For these, abortion is not a “choice” but a means of avoiding consequences, even at the expense of a baby’s life.
“Our society has regressed to where we think that abortion is considered the norm,” said Dawson. “But murder should not be the norm.”
And when I asked her what options were available in case of an unplanned pregnancy, Dawson provided some of the resources mothers could use.
“Pregnancy care centers are tremendous resources for mothers,” she said. “Real healthcare solutions are helping women with pregnancy in ways that promote life and share the love of God.”
Many women are against abortions and always have been. The original 19th-century feminists were mostly pro-life and recognized abortion as a means of covering up abuse (as it still is today) and helping irresponsible men avoid consequences. Abortion is an act of violence that ends a human life.
“The right answer is never to solve violence with violence,” Dawson said. “I am pro-woman, and I am pro-life.”
