The word “unbelievable” is oft misused, but the Utah House of Representatives released a video this week that manages to fit the proper definition.
On Wednesday, the chamber heaped more garbage atop the Internet’s mountainous pile of terrible videos. But one man’s trash is another man’s treasure — and this video is a real gem. “Fresh Prints of Bills Here” reads the title slide, giving way to 70 baffling seconds of clumsy rapping from middle-age lawmakers, parodying “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” in some sort of grotesque attempt to explain how a bill becomes a law.
I had fewer questions after the “Twin Peaks” finale, but the only one that really matters is, “Why?”
Watch for yourself:
Our representatives have taken the time to explain how a law is made…with a surprise twist. Give it a listen and share so all your friends can know how laws are made! #utpol @GHughes51 @BradWilsonGOP @kimfcoleman @NormThurston @mikemckellutah @RepJimDunnigan @JohnKnotwellUT pic.twitter.com/KqaUSqOKtC
