The Huffington Post catches a classic Newt Gingrich moment, from a recent interview on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. The interview took place on Thursday, March 8.

“If liberals ran NASCAR, you couldn’t go more than 35 miles an hour, you’d have to have a car that couldn’t get in a wreck, you’d have to get 600 miles to the gallon and there would be no winners,” Gingrich said, “Everybody would be given a first-place prize so that nobody would have their feelings hurt.”
