The worst news we’ve had all day: Porn star Stormy Daniels has ruled out a primary challenge to Louisiana Sen. David Vitter. Politico duly reports that Daniels’ decision has nothing to do with the complexities of running for the Senate from the adult film industry:
“I am not running for the US Senate for the same reason that so many dedicated patriots do not run — I can’t afford it. On this day in particular, we should all take time to reflect on the loss to our country that comes from the sad fact that those who may truly desire to contribute to our society are barred by those who only seek to unjustly profit off it.”
She vowed to continue working on behalf of “dishwashers, cashiers, bus drivers and porn stars” everywhere. Not journalists or headline writers, apparently. Oh, Stormy. We could have had so much fun together!
