President Obama once again predicted his reeelction, saying on ESPN that he has five more years in office and hinting that ESPN’s Bill Simmons might receive an invitation to next year’s White House ‘all-star’ game.
“I’ve got another five years here and somewhere along the line my Bulls are going to come through here,” Obama said about the Chicago Bulls visiting the White House after winning the the NBA title. When Simmons said that the president was “guaranteeing” his reelection, Obama laughed in apparent confirmation.
Obama also “gave props” to President Bush for his pitch at a post-September 11 attacks New York Yankees game. “[W]hen I think about George Bush and the pitch he threw [after] 9/11 — right down the middle,” he said, after commenting on the difficulty of throwing a pitch as president, while wearing a bullet proof vest. “And huge credit for that. I give that guy a lot of props for that one.”
