Defense Secretary Leon Panetta got salty with a senator today when asked about the defense cuts required under sequestration, explaining that he has no intention of planning for the cuts.
“Sequestration has this frankly mindless formula,” Panetta told Sen. Roger Wicker, R-Miss., during a Senate hearing today on the Defense budget. “It’s not like we can take sequestration and make sense out of the damn thing.” Panetta explained that sequestration would require “across the board” cuts.
