David Axelrod himself released a four-page Obama campaign memo attacking Mitt Romney’s job creation record in Massachusetts today. “Under Governor, the Massachusetts economy was not at the top or even in the middle, but close to the bottom of all states,” Axelrod writes.
Team Romney issued the following statement in response:
Today, the Commerce Department revised first quarter economic growth down 1.9% from 2.2%, the Labor Department reported that initial claims for state unemployment benefits rose by 10,000, and ADP said private sector job growth fell 17,000 jobs short (133,000 total) of initial projections.
Obama’s economic record is weak and getting weaker. Tomorrow, the Labor Department will issue their monthly jobs report. It will probably be around 8 percent, far higher than the the 4.7 percent unemployment Romney left office with.
