How Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner has a job after close of business today, I don’t know, but yes, this is him in a committee hearing being extremely candid about how unsustainable President Obama’s budget proposal is (don’t mind the sleep-deprived guy behind him):
Imagine that. He basically argues, sure! Our budget is unsustainable! But where’s your alternative?”
That’s not leadership, and how anyone at the White House thought this budget would be a political winner, or that Geithner’s still capable of doing anything other than sending faxes, is beyond me.
