A new Suffolk University poll gives President Obama just a 3 point lead, 46-43 percent, over Republican candidate Mitt Romney in the Sunshine state, within the poll’s 4-point margin of error. Another 7 percent are undecided and the rest split among third party candidates, including Libertarian Gary Johnson, Green Party nominee Jill Stein, and Peace and Freedom Party nominee Roseanne Barr.
The poll of 600 registered voters shows Obama clinging to a slim lead that he has maintained in the crucial swing state since last month. The RealClearPolitics.com polling average currently gives him a three point lead in there.
Suffolk University notes:
In the Senate race, Democratic incumbent Bill Nelson leads Republican Connie Mack, 40-34 percent.
