Perry, like Bush, attacks immigration opponents

George W. Bush took some heat from the conservative base while President for favoring more immigration and something pretty close to amnesty for illegals. But really, what got conservatives upset was the way he attacked their motives, saying his opponents “don’t want to do what’s right for America.”

Rick Perry is playing the same nasty card, saying that if you oppose in-state tuition for illegal immigrants you “don’t have a heart.”
