Secret government lists and the Second Amendment

A reader comments on my piece yesterday about secret government lists and whether people whose names appear on them should be deprived of constitutional rights:

I was delayed while checking in at the airline counter for a return flight from San Diego to Spokane, before even getting to the security check points. I was told that my last name was on the no fly list. My last name is SMITH.
I laughed, very loudly, and stated, VERY loudly, “Are you sh—ing me?! SMITH!” Fortunately for me, whatever was going on was cleared up quickly and I made my flight.

The best part? He says he had been flown into town by the FBI to testify in a criminal trial.
