A recent Marist poll shows that New Yorkers miss scandal ridden Eliot Spitzer and actually prefer him over New York Governor David Paterson.

What’s worse for Paterson is that a majority, 51%, say they would prefer former Democratic Gov. Eliot Spitzer to be back in the office. Spitzer resigned in March 2008 after he was caught up in a prostitution sting operation. A majority, 50%, of registered Democrats would prefer Spitzer. Among Republicans, 55% prefer Spitzer.
