Kentucky Democratic race getting closer

I was right about the Kentucky Democratic Senate primary: with 105 of 120 counties completely in, Jack Conway’s lead over Daniel Mongiardo is down to only 8,025 votes of 466,000 cast. (By the way, the higher turnout in the Democratic than the Republican primary is not particularly significant. Kentucky has party registration, and 61% of those registering in the two major parties register Democratic—just about the same as the 60% of major party primary voters voting in the Democratic primary.) But Jefferson and Pike Counties still have votes yet to report, as I noted previously, as do about a dozen smaller counties in Mongiardo country.
