During Virginia Tech’s commencement ceremonies, Sen. Mark Warner D-Va. welcomed First Lady Michelle Obama to the college and jokingly challenged her to a sack race.
“Mrs. Obama, I want to assure you, I ate a healthy breakfast,” Warner said. “I exercised an hour before coming on stage and I’m ready to take you on in a sack race after the ceremony.”
“Senator, I accept your challenge,” Michelle Obama responded when she took the podium.
“But you just gotta know, I play to win.” she added.
