Rove lectures Perry for dissing Bush and Bernanke

Texas Governor Rick Perry is sure to anger the George W. Bush camp in the months ahead. Today, Karl Rove lectured Rick Perry for criticizing Ben Bernanke and former President George W. Bush.

“The question for Perry will be, whether in weeks and months ahead he’ll make other misstatements like the one on, in the my opinion, on Ben Bernanke he’s guilty of treason or that there is a divide between the two men.” Rove said, “If i were running for president I’d want to grab the former governor of Texas and former president of the U.S. and make sure his people were in my camp.”

Former Bush aide Tony Fratto also criticized Perry on Twitter, “Gov. Perry’s comments about Chmn. Bernanke are inappropriate and unpresidential.”

Should Perry embrace or distance himself from the former president? Let us know in the comments below.
