Pelosi thinks long primary weakening GOP

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., told reporters that Republicans would be in a “stronger” position if they had chosen a presidential nominee by now, but allowed that political campaigns are too unpredictable to know for sure.

“I think that all assumptions in politics are false, stale,” Pelosi said during today’s press briefing. “Having said that, I think it would have been much stronger for the Republicans to have a nominee right now.”

Pelosi also said that “you can’t predict anything” in elections, explaining that “it depends on how the Republican party will come together later.”
