Schwarzenegger at the White House

A great day for Cullyfornia, and I voted absentee. (ap photo)

The West Wing driveway continues to deliver a cavalcade of stars — soon after Brosnan sauntered off, California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger appeared, with Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick in tow. Both were in the Rose Garden earlier for President Obama’s big auto emissions announcement.

“Well, first of all, let me tell you, when the president calls you and — during this last weekend we negotiated and the negotiations got very intense, and then all of a sudden it all clicked, and we came together, and then the president asked me to come here to the White House, right along with Governor Patrick and Governor Granholm and with our team, to go and bring everyone together and to celebrate, and to sign this agreement,” Shwarzenegger said.

It’s Election Day in California, but the governor didn’t want to talk about that, nor whether his state would be “ungovernable” if  his budget propositions go haywire.

“Elections are always you win or you lose,” he said. “We always know how to move forward and make the adjustment. Today we are going to go and celebrate this great victory.”
