Rick Santorum releases a truly emotional campaign video featuring his disabled daughter Isabella.

The 3+ minute video features personal family photos of her story, as Santorum talks about the impact her birth had on the family.

When she was born, Santorum recalls, the medical community told the family to “just let her go” a recommendation which angered him.

“Some people describe people like Bella as ‘disabled children,” Santorum says with in a hoarse voice. “I look at her I look at the joy, the simplicity, the love she emits, and its clear to that we are the disabled ones, not her.”

It’s a touching video, but by featuring his child prominently in a campaign, Santorum opens up his family to attacks.

Sarah Palin often spoke about her disabled son Trig during the 2008 campaign, which drew several insensitive attacks on the family from liberal comedians and bloggers.
