WH attacks author of new Obamacare report

President Obama’s spokesman tried to delegitimize the results of a new study on the cost of Obamacare by attacked the analyst as a “partisan” with ties to the Bush Administration.

Charles Blahous, approved by President Obama to serve as a Republican trustee for Medicare and Social Security, says that the president’s health care law wiill cost $340 billion over the next decade.

“We do not agree with the faulty analysis of a Bush administration National Economic Council member,” White House Press Secretary Jay Carney told reporters today. “This is obviously a partisan analysis.”

Carney explained that Obama didn’t really approve of Blahous. “This was somebody who was appointed in consultation with Republican leaders in Congress,” he said.  “It does not mean that the President agrees with his economic analysis . . . it’s faulty economic analysis.”
