That’s what John Nichols of the left-wing Nation calls Barack Obama, citing the White House’s complaints about Fox News and left-wing bloggers who have criticized him on gay rights and other issues. Nichols’s article is full of good common sense; he cheerfully admits that Obama has had mostly positive press coverage, and he points out that a president can come out ahead by facing tough interviewers rather than boycotting them. This should be required reading at the White House, though I suspect it won’t be.
