Charts are wonderful devices for making dry, boring, incomprehensible numbers come alive. Or at least become intelligible for those of us who aren’t accountants, Mensa members or CBO analysts.
And few in the blogosphere can match Doug Ross for taking important numbers – like the spending categories under President Obama’s 2012 federal budget proposal – and making them accessible via charts and graphs.
Check out his latest, showing where the money goes – and how insignificant are Obama’s proposed spending cuts – if his 2012 budget becomes law. The cuts, by the way, are represented in the chart to the right by the yellow line. You can see it if you squint.
