Jeff Neely, the General Services Administration (GSA) official who organized the lavish Las Vegas conference, allegedly bragged “I know I’m bad” as he invited friends to “enjoy” the taxpayer-funded party.
Neely, who has invoked his Fifth Amendment rights not to testify, said “I know I’m bad, but . . why not enjoy it while we have it and while we can; ain’t going to last forever,” according to Rep. Elijah Cummings, D-Md., who quoted Neely during a hearing today on the GSA conference.
