Romney spends $2 million in four states

Mitt Romney has spent $2 million reserving a week’s worth of television advertising in four swing states, CNN reports.

For spots beginning Wednesday, the campaign purchased $317,205 in Iowa, $550,570 in North Carolina, $810,640 in Ohio and $377,325 in Virginia – all considered key battleground states in the general election. These are the same four states the campaign has been advertising in for two weeks.

If Romney were to win each of these four states, as well as Indiana (where he is currently up by 9) and Florida (where a recent poll had him up by 6), and Obama were to take all the states he did in 2008, Romney would win the Electoral College 282 to 256.
