For the first time this year, the Associated Press-GfK poll has President Obama’s re-elect number among adults below 50%. But by a one point margin, 48-47, the poll has a plurality of Americans still sending him back to Washington.

Despite a 52-47 net approval rating approval, a majority of Americans disapprove of Obama’s handling on most domestic issues. 59% of Americans disapprove of Obama on the economy, 63% on the budget deficit, 59% on unemployment, 63% on gas prices, and 54% on health care. Overall 63% of Americans told the AP they thought the country was going the wrong direction.
