Michael Steele: ‘Yeah, I get a little bit hot headed’

In an appearance on “Fox News Sunday,” Republican National Committee chairman Michael Steele said he has “absolutely not” thought of resigning over conflicts within the GOP. “No, absolutely not,” Steele told host Chris Wallace. “I’ve got the base fired up.”

Steele also backed away from his statement earlier this week that the Republican Party will not win the House in November. “We’re ready,” Steele said. “Trust me.” Steele also apologized for not letting top Republican officials know that he was writing a book, Right Now: A 12-Step Program for Defeating the Obama Agenda. “I thought that they had been notified,” Steele said. “For that I apologize — I was not trying to blindside anybody.”
