Mo. GOP complaint portrays McCaskill as a wastrel

Published

Missouri’s Republican Party has filed an FEC complaint against Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-Mo., for being in “massive non-compliance” with campaign finance disclosure laws. Senator McCaskill’s office did not immediately return a request for comment.

The Republican complaint cites McCaskill’s failure to record the receipt and expenditure of approximately $277,000 during the 2006 election. The senator also recently amended her 2006 campaign finance reports to acknowledge $245,020 in previously undisclosed unitemized (under $200) campaign contributions during that cycle, which would be 24% of her total unitemized contributions.
