President Obama, who passed the 2009 stimulus, has a new economic bogeyman: spending and debt.
Touting new trade agreements (which are good for the economy) during his latest weekly address, Obama pointed to excessive spending as a systemic cause for economic weakness.

This is a little incredible coming from the president who passed a $787 billion stimulus package in 2009, and who believes that unemployment checks are among the most efficient mechanisms for job creation.
