Taking criticism now for remarking that children in very poor neighborhoods don’t have good role models who can teach them positive work habits, Newt Gingrich has convinced Donald Trump to give an”apprenticeship” to 10 New York City children.
“We’re going to be picking 10 young, wonderful children,” Trump said during a press conference with Gingrich, “and we’re going to make them ‘apprenti’ — we’re going to have a little fun with it — and I think it’s going to be something that’s going to really prov[ide] results.”
“It was Newt’s idea and I thought it was a great idea,” he added.
