New York Mayor Bill de Blasio’s 2020 election bid has been widely mocked, and a new poll shows just how unpopular he is nationally — with a net favorable rating at a whopping negative 37 points.
The latest Quinnipiac poll finds that Joe Biden is the only candidate with a solidly positive favorable rating, 49% to 39%. But it’s de Blaiso who really stands out, with 45% viewing him unfavorably and just 8% having a favorable view.
Here’s how the other candidates stack up:
32-41 percent for Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts;
27 percent favorable for Sen. Kamala Harris of California, with 30 percent unfavorable;
20-32 percent for former U.S. Rep. Beto O’Rourke of Texas;
23-31 percent for Sen. Cory Booker of New Jersey;
23 percent favorable for South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg, to 19 percent unfavorable;
Though de Blasio just announced he’s running and his national name recognition is lower than other candidates, the highly negative initial reaction to his candidacy is quite something to behold.
He enjoys zero percent support in the horse race poll, which has Biden ahead with 35%.
The same poll found Trump with a negative 38% to 57% approval rating, despite 71% of people rating the economy “excellent” or “good.”
