Cain: I would take lie detector test

Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain once again denied sexual harassment allegations, this time in response to a public accusation made in a press conference yesterday, and told reporters that he would be willing to take a lie detector test to verify his denial.

“Of course, I would be willing to do a lie detector test,” Cain said in response to a question asked during a press conference today. He added that he would want to speak with his attorney in the event about the reason for doing so and the circumstances, but reiterated that he would be willing to take such a test.

Cain was accused in a press conference yesterday by a woman who said he groped her and asked for a sexual favor in exchange for his assistance in getting her a job. He has denied that accusation. During the press conference today, he said that his wife watched the live conference yesterday in which he was accused. He said that her first reaction to the accusation was to tell him that “that doesn’t sound like” anything he would do.
