Democrats’ quick denunciations of the Obama campaign’s effort to tar Mitt Romney’s old private equity firm, Bain Capital, as a “vampire” capitalist outfit, could have a lot to do with the old saying that you don’t bite the hand that feeds.

According to the Sunlight Foundation, Bain Capital has given an average of 69 percent its campaign cash to Democrats over the past decade.
