WH: Obama is clearly a ‘centrist’

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney believes that President Obama has “a centrist agenda,” and he seems to doubt the existence of a plausible counterargument from the Republican Party.

Carney told reporters today that Obama has proposed “what is by any clear-eyed definition a very common-sense, centrist agenda.” He criticized Republicans for  “the obstructionist approach” they have taken to the president’s policies.

Maybe Obama chose not to mention his 2009 stimulus spending, and gave only one sentence to Obamacare (supposedly the signature achievement of his first term), so that he could sound more “centrist.”
