The Internet has had more than enough fodder to work with during the 2016 presidential cycle, but sometimes web users like to make their own fun.
Exhibit A: The number of domain names that look like they should link to something involving Texas Sen. Ted Cruz’s campaign, but instead do the exact opposite. Here are five Cruz-related gems the Internet has graced us with.
1) carlyfiorinaforvicepresident.com
It didn’t take long for the Internet to troll Cruz’s pick of Carly Fiorina to be his vice president. This particular URL links to a donation page for the Planned Parenthood Action Fund.
Fiorina has been a staunch critic of Planned Parenthood, graphically describing images from undercover videos purporting to show the women’s healthcare provider selling body parts from aborted fetuses for money.
Troll level: Expert
Former Speaker of the House John Boehner described Cruz as “Lucifer in the flesh” and a “miserable son of a bitch” in general, thus beginning a round of “Ted Cruz is Satan” jokes that reverberated across the Internet Thursday.
It all culminated in the above URL linking to the official Cruz/Fiorina 2016 website.
Troll level: Devilish
3) tedcruz.com
One would think the Cruz campaign would have jumped on this simple domain name immediately, but no such luck.
Because of their lack of attention, this URL now links to a photo of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton with the caption, “Next President of the United States of America!!!”
Troll level: Democrat
Remember when Cruz allegedly ate a booger on his mouth during one of the presidential debates?
This URL takes you to an extreme close-up of that video. Do not watch while eating.
Troll level: Gross
5) tedcruzforhumanpresident.com
This one isn’t the Cruz campaign’s fault, but the work of someone with way too much times on his or her hands. If you’re getting sick of “Ted Cruz is the Zodiac Killer” jokes, now you can start “Ted Cruz may or may not be human” rumors.
As Guy Manderson says, “Ted Cruz is only one being and not several.”

Republican front-runner Donald Trump isn’t exempt from Internet pranksters. This URL leads to a page featuring a photo of Trump with photo-realistic eyes that follow a trumpet as the user moves it around his head in a 360-degree arc.
It gets better: When you click the trumpet, air comes out and blows Trump’s hair. And sometimes, confetti pops out!
