Parody video still beating real Obama launch

When Politico’s Ben Smith first reported Tuesday that the National Republican Senatorial Committee’s parody ad had more views than President Obama’s real launch video, he didn’t mention that the NRSC video was posted on Friday, three days before the Obama video was posted Monday.

Ben’s post now notes that, as of Tuesday, the real Obama video had only 168,000 views while the NRSC parody ad had 665,000 views. I was curious to see how  this deficit in online enthusiasm would fare throughout the week as Obama’s real video had time to circulate through the lefty mediaverse. It is now pretty clear that the Obamaskeptics are still a bit more engaged than the Obamabots.

As of Friday, the NRSC parody video had 1,118,815 views compared to the Obama campaign’s 377,398.
