Harry Reid’s revolving door continues to spin

Sen. Harry Reid’s, D-Nev., spokesman has cashed out to K Street giant Quinn Gillespie & Associates. As you would expect from a party leader, Reid’s office is a veritable pipeline to K Street. Communications Director Jim Manley’s move to the lobbying and public relations firm is a natural one, then.

According to Roll Call, Manley will “build the firm’s public-affairs practice and provide advice to the lobbying staff, as well.” Quinn Gillespie’s lobbying clients include Blackrock Management, AT&T, Berkshire Hathaway, Entergy, Microsoft, the National Association of Realtors, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

Given the media’s love for bipartisanship, I thought it was cute to see Manley gushing about working with Republican John Feehery, former spokesman to House Speaker Denny Hastert: “When I told a friend of mine recently that I was going to work with John, she said that, ‘You two give bipartisanship a good name.’ Man, that sounded good.”
